and connections fees will be collected through the permits in the county's land information management permitting system Amanda, except fees financed through Sarasota County Public Utilities and utility connection assistance programs. These fees will be added to the permits by utility staff. County utility connection and service account applications must be completed before applying for the permit or before the permit is approved to connect if the county provides water and/or sewer services to the property. Please contact the utility connection office at (941) 861-6767 for more information.

that are Less than 30% of the Building's Value will be Exempt from Complying
with the Florida Energy Code Per Section C101.4.2 & R101101.4.2. This includes
Exemptions to the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient and U-Value Requirements.

If the Value of the Window/Door Replacement or Renovation is Greater than 30%
of the Building's Value, the Project will need to Comply with the Florida Energy Code.

Online Permitting has two sections, Member Services which is for Licensed Contractors and Authorized Agents and Public Services for all other Constituents.

Member Services:

Licensed Contractors wishing to use this site must first complete a Permitting Services Online Access Request form. Once you receive your temporary password, you will gain immediate access and need to go to the My Profile section and change your password.

Authorized Agents wishing to use this site must have a valid Authorized Agent Letter on file and complete a Permitting Services Online Access Request form

A valid Authorized Agent form must be on-file and is only good for up to one year at a time. For your convenience, this form can be filled out online, printed out, notarized and faxed in, mailed in or hand delivered to one of our Permit Centers.

Once you receive your temporary password, you will gain immediate access and need to go to the My Profile section and change your password.

Public Services:

All constituents may use this section to query permits, check if contractors are licensed to work in Sarasota County, Request Information, Request Property Records, view Statistical Reports and access all forms, guidelines and checklists.
